The Emerson PTA Mission*

The mission of the Emerson PTA, in common with the purposes of the Illinois PTA and the National PTA is to be: 

  • A powerful voice for all children.
  • A relevant resource for families and communities.
  • A strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.


The Emerson Elementary Mission*

Emerson will create a safe, respectful environment where students are empowered to be responsible and take risks.  Through cooperative efforts, staff, students, and families will promote life-long learning and provide for individual needs.

Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 will be a national leader in educating children of all backgrounds and ability levels, promoting high individual student achievement.
